The Department of Intellectual Property, "DIP", under the Ministry of Industry and Commcer, has the executive role of acting on behalf of the Party committee and the leadership of the ministry in the macro-management of activities relating to patent, sub-patent, industrial design, trademark, tradename, trade secrets, geographic indicator, integrated circuit design, new plant varieties, copyright and related rights, as well as the promotion and development, services, protection and resolution of intellectual property disputes nationwide under the scope of responsibility of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
