The parties can compromise on intellectual property rights violations.
Compromise agreements must comply with the principles of contracting as defined in the law on contractual and non-contractual obligations.

The parties can choose to resolve the dispute through mediation at any time in accordance with the law.

Administrative solutions
The parties can submit to the intellectual property management agency to resolve disputes regarding intellectual property in accordance with the law.
Disputes that are resolved administratively are disputes regarding registration of industrial property, new plant varieties and notification of copyright information and rights related to copyright.

Resolution by the Economic Dispute Resolution Organization
The parties can request the Economic Dispute Resolution Organization at any time to resolve intellectual property disputes in accordance with the Law on Economic Dispute Resolution and other related laws.

Petition to the People’s Court
The parties can file a lawsuit before the People’s Court to decide the case regarding intellectual property according to the law.

Resolution of international disputes
The resolution of disputes regarding intellectual property of an international nature shall be carried out in accordance with international conventions and agreements to which the Lao PDR is a party.
